During 2024 I decided to delve more thoroughly into the image of the cowboy and it's appearance in queer spaces (mostly online) and in media. This was motivated by my own attachment to the imagery and what I felt was an intrinsic link between my it and my gender identity. The output of this research was a series of three mixed media paintings presented in early 2025, a paper, and a related survey. You can read the paper and see the survey results here!
